Natasha grew up on Salt Spring Island, building forts in the forest, playing capture the flag, or lost in a book. Her creative roots are embedded in her memories of this magical time of being a child before the Internet.

Natasha has always loved adventure and mystery stories. Her first favourites were Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fang, the Famous Five, Nancy Drew, and Swallows and Amazons. When she grew up, Natasha set off on adventures of her own. The best ones were when she packed up a few belongings and travelled by bicycle with her husband. Natasha hopes to return to bike touring someday, when she has more time and fewer responsibilities.

After many years living “off-island” in different cities, Natasha now lives back where she started. She loves the quiet of life on a small island where most of her neighbours are hidden by trees. She lives with her husband, two children, and two cats.

Natasha has had a wide range of jobs, including working in cafes, teaching English, and working for large companies and professional organizations. Her most interesting job, and perhaps the most stressful, was going door to door as a census enumerator in Dublin. As well as writing books, Natasha runs a small business making and selling art in various forms. She LOVES what she does for work now, creating art and stories to brighten people’s day.

Natasha is deeply grateful to all the people who have supported her over the years. Thank you!
